Paragon Trailers was started with a vision in mind of making quality trailers with the end user in mind. Some people think the end user is the consumer who just purchased a Polaris side by side, and needs a trailer to transport it. Or some think its a consumer who just purchased a Kubota tractor, and needs a trailer to move it from one deer lease to another working ranch to help fill feeders with. All of that is true, and they are the end user. At Paragon, we consider our dealers to be an integral part of our success, and we see them as end users as well. First and foremost, they are receiving our product first, they are unloading it, they are installing tire on it, they are strategically placing the trailer on their yard, they are actively training their sales personnel on how to sell our trailers, etc. The dealers, at times, can be thought of as the after thought. And at Paragon, we do not want that to be the case. We would want our dealers to use our product at their family ranches, their deer lease, or for moving their side by side or tractor down the highway. We want them to trust that we are building a quality product.
That is one of the greatest compliments a dealer could share with us, is that they want one of our products for their daily use. We have spent years pulling trailers at work, or taking trailers out to the deer lease. Over the years, we have reflected on some of the trailer issues that came up while at the deer lease or off the beaten path at work with a utility trailer. Our success in the trailer industry is very dependent on how we treat our dealers and how we respond to their needs and requests. We do not want our trailer dealers to be left in the dark on warranty issues, or frustrated because we are hitting our delivery schedule we communicated to them. Our plan as we start adding new dealers, is off the dealer an assembly drawing package of each trailer model. This assembly drawing package will show all of Paragon’s part numbers for all of the parts that are on the trailer. If there is an issue, or a dealer/service department needs to stock a certain part for us, it will be easier for the dealer to respond and communicate with us internally, rather than submitting a bunch of pictures that may take a half day to several days to review. We think that a dealer equipped with this kind of information will help them sell our product over our competitors because they have the support they need.
We will strive for each trailer product model that we launched to provide the Dealer with assembly drawings, we feel that by providing these assembly drawings to the Dealer that this will add a level of comfort in the back of their heads to give them a closer relationship with paragon and it will help further build a relationship into a strong one so that they will represent our brand and truly care about the product that they are selling. One goal that we are working on right now and our Engineering group is to create a part number decal. The decal can be placed on the trailer so that the dealer or the customer can easily identify the part number associated to the part that may be faulty or they need to replace. or a issue with a light this will turn help the customer or the Dealer troubleshoot that issue quickly. At paragon, we are striving to be a value added partner in this relationship with the Dealer, and we feel that by offering a simple drawing of our trailer to the dealer this will add a level of value that most dealers are not getting from some of these trailer manufacturers that are out there. We do value the feedback from our dealers. We would not be where we are today nor would our trailers look the way they do, without the feedback from the dealers as we have gathered from some of these sales trips across Texas.
Some of the design criteria for the M1C, or pain points we heard from dealers about other utility trailer brands out there are; higher ply rated tires, bolt on jacks, and offering value added features that customers can put a value on. Our dealers will have an open line of communication to our Paragon staff. If they have issues or need updates on orders, they can call us anytime to receive the information they need. As we are getting started with producing more and more trailers, we are actively talking to trailer floor plan financing companies so that our future dealers can finance our trailers, rather than paying for them upon delivery. Also, to provide another option, we are working closely with Synchrony Bank. Synchrony Bank offers a wide range of options for consumers to purchase equipment, trailers, products, etc., to help run their business or for personal use. We want our dealers and customers to know that we are actively working toward finance options that will help them better their needs and wants. And if we are able to eliminate some pain points along the way, that will make the trailer purchasing process that much easier. Not only are we constantly trying to improve our product and have the best utility trailer designs on the market, but we are constantly working with our supply chain and finance companies to offer the best banking solutions for our dealers. As we mentioned before, we are trying to add value not only to our end users, but also to our trailer dealer base. We will always strive for the dealer to make it known to us that they need a Paragon trailer for their daily use, and we will make sure they are taken care of.
